From the Desk of Ms. Clark

February 28, 2019

Dear Parents,

A nurse in the pediatrics unit, before listening to the little ones’ chest, would plug the stethoscope into their ears and let them listen to their own hearts. Their eyes would always light up with awe. But she never got a response to equal four year-old David’s.

Gently he tucked the stethoscope in his ears and placed the disk over his heart. “Listen,” the nurse said, “what do you suppose that is?” David drew his eyebrows together in a puzzled line and looked up as if lost in the mystery of the strange tap-tap-tapping deep in his chest. Then his face broke out in a wondrous grin. “Is that Jesus knocking?”

As we begin our Lenten journey next Wednesday, let us listen to our own heartbeat. Listen closely for the knock of Jesus upon the door of your heart.

God’s blessings,

Ms. Clark

Kindergarten Service

Our Kindergarten collected gift cards, museum tickets, toiletries, lotions, soap, hygiene products, coffee, etc for the Holy Family Home which is directed by the Little Sisters of the Poor. The items were dropped off to the Holy Family Home in West Philadelphia last weekend. The sisters have been serving the elderly in Philadelphia since 1869. They provide exceptional care and our Kindergarten families were so happy to help them and their residents!
