Robert Nesta Marley
"Bob Marley"
Youth
When Bob Marley was younger, he would be the attention of the street he lived on. Every Wednesday night he would perform in the middle of the road around. He would also have battles with his cousins. He was known for his shy aloofness, and desire for reading. If anyone would bother him while he was reading, he would go outside where no one is. He first started singing at his home church with his cousins at the age of 7. He learned how to play guitar by watching different videos. He grew out his hair 14 inches long.
Career
At school he met Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh who join and made a group with Bob called "ska". It was the Jamaica movement, and they first recorded in a huge studio in 1965. They had 39 singles in their album. His first song authentically drew on Caribbean Myths. A producer names Dodd, insisted that he was the lead singer in order to be the producer of their records. He signed his record contract with a British Company in 1972. He also worked as an electrical welder in Kingston, Jamaica.
Death
Bob Marley died from lung cancer and a brain tumor. He hurt his toe playing soccer and it never healed, and he refused to have it amputated. After he died, he was awarded with the Order of Merit by the Jamaican Government. While he didn't know he had cancer, it was spreading throughout his lungs and brain slowly. After he died his parents got back together, they slowly started talking to each other at the funeral.
