HAPPY BOSSES' DAY
Warning! The support staff at the District Office, has "highjacked" this article...
The purpose is to wish all our Leadership Team a great Bosses' Day and to recognize each administrator every day; but especially this week as it is designated the Week of the School Administrator. This is a time to honor school administrators for providing the essential training and resources to faculty that immersed suddenly into online teaching, the guidance and support given to families and students as they acclimate to distance learning, and to commend school administrators for their leadership that is essential for schools and districts to fulfill the mission of public education.
You are all amazing and we are very privileged to work with all of you. You each have a special gift and quality that makes this a great district to work. You are our unsung heroes. We see your dedication for this profession and you are the voices of our teachers, students, and parents.. It is not an easy job, especially during these trying times. So, here is to Bosses' Day!!!
Can you guess what the theme was for our celebration?

Elementary Schools: Distribution days of the pumpkins will be Wednesday and Thursday, October 21st and 22nd. The time will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on these 2 days.
Middle and High Schools - Distribution of pumpkins will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, October 19th, 20th, and 21st. The time will be from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm on these 3 days.
Principals will be letting parents know of dates they can come and pick up a pumpkin.
A big thank you to the Braga Family for such a generous donation for our students and staff. Also a big thank you to the MOTF Staff for helping with the coordinating the delivery and distribution of the pumpkins!

Social Emotional Learning Workshop
The Salinas Valley Adult Education Consortium (SVAEC) will be hosting a Social Emotional Learning Workshop next week on Friday October 23 at 7 PM. This virtual workshop is open to the community and will focus on what parents and educators can do to best support children during these difficult times.
Because most parents and educators have had to take on additional roles and responsibilities, this workshop will focus on the importance of always being present and the effect everyday interactions can have on kids and their development.
Attached you will find both the English and Spanish flyer for this event as well as some information about who we are and the services we provide. Those interested in participating in this free event can register by clicking the link on the flyer, by finding us on social media or by registering HERE. Meeting details will be shared after registration is complete.
If the current situation has taught us anything, it's taught us the importance of collaborating and sharing information that can benefit the families and the communities we all serve. We hope you can share this information with your families, staff and anyone else that you think can benefit from this opportunity.
