What is stress?
Stress is your body responding to any command. When people are stressed over things going on, their bodies respond by releasing chemicals in to their blood. The chemicals can be a good thing if you are responding to physical danger, because it can make you do things you thought you could never do before...but it can also be a bad thing if it has to do with something emotional.
What are the causes of stress?
Stress can be caused by worrying about things that you have no control over, fear of something that can be dangerous to you, stressing over things around you, stressing over school or work and family as well.
What are the risks of stress?
The risks of stress can result in:
- high blood pressure
- heart problems
- head aches
- depression
- anxiety
- loss of sleep
What are ways to prevent stress?
- Try not to get overwhelmed as much
- Set limits
- Relax
- Be active
- Do things that get your mind off of stuff
What are ways to manage stress?
- Naps
- Working out/ running
- Listening to Music
- Driving around
- Being with friends
