First Early Release Day
On Wednesday, Jan. 26, the first of five Teacher Planning Time/Student Early Dismissal Days will be held. Please make plans for your child to get home safely.
The other early dismissal dates are Feb. 16, March 23, April 20, and May 18.
Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:45 a.m., middle schools at 12:40 p.m.,
and high schools at 1 p.m.
Breakfast and sack lunches will be provided on these days. Students are not allowed off campus during 4th, 5th, or 6th periods. They may grab a sack lunch in the cafeteria, bring a sack lunch from home or wait to eat lunch until dismissal. Thank you for your support on this.
Endorsement and Elective Fair Nights
Our Counselors will also be available for questions about endorsements.
There will not be a general meeting, instead parents and students can visit each table at their leisure.
COVID Update
As of today, NISD is not considering any return to large-scale virtual learning. However, given what we are seeing with both staff and student absenteeism, there are a few things you can help us with to limit the interruption of instruction should your child have to be absent.
Please encourage your student have their NISD device with them daily and let us know if it is not working or if they need a device. In the event that your son/daughter needs to stay home, we want to ensure that they have access to their Schoology and their teachers.
Quarantine Link for Remote Learning
Thursday night, a link for remote learning was sent to all parents in the District. This link was sent in error. If you have not spoken to our nurse and discussed quarantine, please disregard the email.
We apologize for any confusion or concern the communication may have caused.
