Happy New Year Raider Families

I hope everyone had a restful holiday break. As San Antonio sees an increase in confirmed COVID cases, We at Taft continue to closely monitor the changing health metrics and take proactive measures to better ensure student and staff safety.

We are strongly encouraging masks and ask that you review the City of San Antonio Metro Health Advisory guidelines as this will answer many of your questions. Please click the following link : City of San Antonio Metro Health District’s Health Advisory issued Dec. 28

If your child tests positive for COVID or has to quarantine because of exposure, please call our nurse's office at 210-397-6009 or front office at 397-6000. For questions about attendance please call 210-397-5987 or 397-6008.

Endorsement and Elective Fair Nights

We will be available Wednesday and Thursday evening for parents and students to stop by our tables for more information on electives, athletics, and advanced academics.

Our Counselors will also be available for questions about endorsements.

There will not be a general meeting, instead parents and students can visit each table at their leisure.

COVID Update

As of today, NISD is not considering any return to large-scale virtual learning. However, given what we are seeing with both staff and student absenteeism, there are a few things you can help us with to limit the interruption of instruction should your child have to be absent.

Please encourage your student have their NISD device with them daily and let us know if it is not working or if they need a device. In the event that your son/daughter needs to stay home, we want to ensure that they have access to their Schoology and their teachers.

Quarantine Link for Remote Learning

Thursday night, a link for remote learning was sent to all parents in the District. This link was sent in error. If you have not spoken to our nurse and discussed quarantine, please disregard the email.

We apologize for any confusion or concern the communication may have caused.
