Top 10 "PRIME" Growth Score for Richards Middle School English Language Arts
The Policy Research in Missouri Education (PRiME) Center recently published the 2022 Beating the Odds Report: Student Growth in Missouri’s Highest Poverty Schools, to examine growth scores on the MAP within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. This report highlights the top schools “beating the odds” across the state by moving the needle on student learning while serving high concentrations of low-income students.
What is the PRiME Growth Score? The 2022 PRiME Growth Score is a translation of DESE’s 2020–21 Missouri Growth Model score, which reflects average annual student growth for three school years. Importantly, this year's growth scores provide a first look at student growth during the pandemic.

Future Childcare Providers!
At this age they start to think they are ready for real babysitting jobs. In order to find out if they are prepared, they have been doing research, and learning from experience about the demands of caring for an infant. The objective is to learn that infant care comes with so much more responsibility than just admiring their cuteness, posting photos, and watching tv or playing video games while their "baby" takes a nap.
After having fun creating their "flour sack" baby, they are tasked with keeping them safe and secure. Hopefully at the end of this unit, they will have a greater understanding of the demands of childcare and will be better prepared if they decide to earn some money babysitting.
