The Bookfair takes place on November 28– December 2, 2022

Classes will visit the book fair on the following days:

Monday: Taylor, K. Smith (2), Richards

Tuesday: S. Smith (4), Saft, Palermo, Widmaier

Wednesday: Bartlett, Krohe, Lloyd, Honarvar, Yuan

Thursday: Enders, Hampton, Daniels, DeLeon, McGee

Friday: Brown/Richburg, Algoet, Basso

· Please look over the book fair flyer and discuss your expectations with your child before the book fair. This is a good time to explain if there are any series or characters of which you do not approve.

· Cash, checks, and e-wallet are accepted.

· Please do not send in blank checks! You may receive up to $10 in change from a check if you write it for more than is spent.

· Checks should be made out to Benfield Elementary School.

· No credit cards for in person sales because adult family members may not attend.

· 6% Tax will be charged on all purchases.

· In an effort to be more Earth friendly we do not have shopping bags this year.

· Check out the online Book Fair at www.scholastic.com/fair This is a great way to get those popular titles that sell out!

Does your child love to write? If so, please take a look at the Young Author's Contest. Please note that all entries must include a Young Author's Contest Cover Sheet.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to be creative and share their love of writing. The school-based winners will advance to the Anne Arundel County Literacy Chapter to complete with other entries from across the county.

Please note that all entries, along with a cover sheet, must be emailed to smoskios@aacps.org no later than Friday, December 2nd.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the Benfield Bash: Back to the 90's a success! It was a great event and we were so glad to be back in action this year. We would like to specifically thank Casey Goller, Jillian Beam and Heather Greshman for planning this special event. We are all incredibly thankful for the countless hours of time they dedicated to planning our biggest fundraiser of the year. We're pleased to share that we raised over $25,000!!!!
