Was it Necessary?

For the Bombing on Hiroshima
Using the bomb, "Little Boy," was a smart decision because it lead to the end of World War 2. The United States had offered a warning statement called the "Potsdam Proclamation". The proclamation said that if the statement was not accepted then worse things could happen. The statement was not accepted by the Enemy. Regardless of the blood shed of civilians and Soldiers, if we didn't drop the bomb on Hiroshima the amount of death could have been more abundant. There were 2 plans to stop the Japanese. Either drop a bomb on Hiroshima or Invade Japan. “Atomic bomb attacks brought Japan to its knees and prevented the planned murders of the prisoners of war”(On Board the Enola Gay 102). If we were to use the invasion plan we would have taken longer to weaken the Japanese. The Invasion also could have caused more deaths of soldiers, but the amount of civilians that died would have been less. If we didn't use the Bomb on Hiroshima the outcome could have been different. The Japanese could have won the war because the United States were entering Enemy Territory and the Japanese also could have possibly used an atomic bomb first.

Reveiw
I thought that the book Hiroshima was a very educational book. It really explains the effect of the bomb on other people. We all think it wasn't that bad because it doesn't affect us. After reading Hiroshima it really acts as a eye opener because it really lets us see the effect of the bomb on people. Since I haven't been alive Long enough to experience a bomb(Knock on wood) I feel like if this happened to America I am unable to really think about it deeply. I really liked the book and I recommend for everyone to read the book.
