If the student has more than one ticket they have earned then they can invite a friend for the outdoor lunch time.

Call to Action - Klein ISD is a Fast-Growth District!
Under new Texas Education Agency (TEA) rules for “fast growth” Klein is currently NOT designated as fast growth, even though we have been a fast-growth district for 20+ years and Klein ISD is currently the 20th fastest growing district in the state (out of over 1,000 districts) based on absolute student enrollment growth. Because TEA has not currently designated Klein ISD as a fast-growth district, we are losing out on approximately $25 million over the next two years. We now have an opportunity to comment to the committee that is reviewing this designation.
NOW is the time for you to use your voice in helping Klein ISD receive the fast-growth allotment we need to serve our growing student enrollment. Please visit KISD.US/COMMENT and fill in the form using the answers below before November 3.
Which proposed rule are you commenting on? §61.1009, Fast Growth Allotment
Commenting on Behalf of: Klein ISD
Proposed Rule Comments:
1. Measurement of fast growth should follow the students and be based on absolute enrollment growth, not percentage based.
2. Increase the measurement period to five years instead of two so that Klein ISD is not negatively impacted for atypical growth year after Hurricane Harvey.
Feel free to share the information above with others who are committed to our students, our schools, and our community. The more people submitting comments, the stronger our collective voice FOR Klein ISD.
