Seguin Elementary School

This Week:

Literacy: We will review how to describe characters in a story and use adjectives to describe characters.

Writing: We will continue writing a story using a beginning, middle, and end to publish a final draft.

Math: We will collect data, sort and organize data and display it using tally marks and graphs.

Social Studies: We will locate communities on maps and globes.

Science: We will learn about how water is useful in our everyday lives.

Spelling Words

New Spelling Pattern:

The /J/ sound spelled ge and gi

Examples:

digit

germ

age


5 words will come from the 'ge and gi' spelling pattern and 5 more words will come from long vowels.

*Reading Homework: One Breath Boxes and read for 20 minutes per night, please sign your child's reading log. :)

*Math Homework: Addition with doubles, for example 2 + 2 = 4 or 6 + 6 = 12
