Reading about the Crusades

Ways to implement UDL in a technology poor classroom

Texas World History Standard

WHS.4A Explain the development of Christianity as a unifying social and political factor in medieval Europe and the Byzantine Empire
WHS.4B Explain how the Crusades, the Black Death, the Hundred Years' War, and the Great Schism contributed to the end of medieval Europe.

Reading Tic Tac Toe

Students will chose a pre-reading, during reading, and post reading activity from a tic tac toe board. There will be three choices for each reading "step", some of which will include use of the one classroom computer. Each student will need to make a horizontal, diagonal, or vertical line through three choices on the tic tac toe board.

Examples of some of the reading strategy options

Tic Tac Toe Strategies are also FANTASTIC for Project Based Learning!
