February/March Edition 5
Student of the Month Focus
Theme: Building a Caring Community
Words of the Month: Considerate and Empathetic
Considerate means thinking about the rights and feelings of others; showing kindness toward other people. Empathetic means to be able to identify with or share another person's feelings, thoughts, and attitudes. Your challenge this month is to provide one random act of kindness each week for someone close to you, someone you are acquainted with but may not know well, or a stranger.
March
Theme: Internet and Technology
Word of the Month: Mindful
Mindful means to be conscious or aware of something in the present moment; to observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance without judgment. Your challenge this month is to THINK before you post on social media. Spend at least 2 minutes thinking about how to make a post better before posting it.
