The only paperwork you will receive from our office is the emergency card to be filled out at your master contract meeting. Yay! No more big packets to fill out.
If you do not have access to a computer the office will have a device for you to use. If you have any questions, please reach out to the office.
Picture Day
Participation in picture day is voluntary. Students who come and have their picture taken will receive a school ID card (approximately 2 weeks after picture day).
Below is the order form for pictures. Please note it says El Camino High School but this is the correct form to order from.
Friday, September 9
Parents, please bring your Homestead student(s) between 11-3pm to ECHS.
Counseling Corner
Hi Homestead Families & Students!
Happy September! Thank you for the warm welcome on Back to School Night. It was so nice to mingle and meet one another. I am looking forward to working with you and your children throughout the year. In the monthly newsletter, please be on the lookout for Ms. Zide’s counseling corner, where there will be a small note from myself on the happenings that will be occurring at Homestead that are counseling related.
As we get the school year going, the focus in September will be:
★ Making Connections & Getting to know each other
Some activities that will be put into place are:
★ Thursdays: Lunch Bunch @ 11:30 (this is when your student can come early before their activities with teachers and have lunch with Ms. Zide and other friends, students can bring an at home lunch, or the lunch provided through the school)
★ We will learn to have conversations and actively engage with each other. This may be just a simple “How has your week been going?” or “What is your favorite thing to do outside of school? From there we will see how the conversation flows
★ The goal is to build relationships at school, practice social skills, and learn to work together.
As we move forward with the school year and see the needs of our students, there will be opportunities for individual counseling, group counseling, and lots of focus on social-emotional learning and development. I will be at Homestead campus Thursday & Fridays. I am available by phone or email or in person to connect! Please feel free to reach out. It’s going to be a wonderful year!
