Red Ribbon is Here!!
66% of children who abuse prescription drugs get them from family or friends.
Here are some guidelines for prescription drug abuse prevention:
LOCK YOUR MEDS- prevent your kids from abusing your own medication by securing your meds in places your children cannot access
TAKE INVENTORY- Download your Home Inventory Card at www.lockyourmeds.org. This is an easy way to keep track of your meds.
EDUCATE YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILDREN- Learn about the mostly commonly abused prescription meds and share with dangers with your children.
SET CLEAR RULES AND MONITOR BEHAVIOR- Express disapproval of using prescription drugs without a prescription.
PASS IT ON- Share what you know and have learned with others. Help be a change agent for a drug-free society.
PROPER DISPOSAL OF OLD AND UNUSED MEDICATIONS- Visit www.lockyourmeds.org for guidelines for disposal.
The NED Show will present to our students on Monday at 1:30.
