STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

Early College High School Field Trip

11th grade students at Early College High School visited College of Charleston on April 15th to take a tour of campus and learn more about Call Me Mister, which is a teacher education program for men of color.


Juniors will also be touring CofC on April 22nd.

STEAM Air Expo

Congratulations to all those who participated and excelled at this year's Joint Base Charleston Air Expo. A few highlights are below:

  • East Cooper CAS Horticulture students asked STEM Trivia Questions and awarded plants grown in their greenhouse as prizes.
  • West Ashley CAS Mechatronics students demonstrated their award winning VEX Robotics competition robots.
  • Military Magnet Academy demonstrated their award winning FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics competition robots.
  • And, leaders from the Liberty Hill K12 STEM Initiative, which focuses on North Charleston Elementary, Morningside Middle, and North Charleston High, demonstrated chemical reactions.
