British imperialism

In India, the eighteenth century, the British east India company gained control of the Mughal empire. By the nineteenth century, the British were in control of most of the country. The British would sell opium (an addictive drug). Lin Zeux from china went into war against the British and were defeated in 1842. The British had aligned with the french and opened china to foreign trade by force.
