Planting seeds in our communities
For folks interested in learning about permaculture
Don't miss out on this community building opportunity!
My name is Abdikani Ali, and I am a student at the University of Washington Bothell seeking to promote Environmental Justice for Seattle youth of color and children of refugees. We are planning an event that will bring youth from the Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA), Horn of Africa services, Cheasty, and Plant for the Planet to the Beacon Hill Food Forest to learn about gardening and promote use of this free resource among surrounding low-income communities. My vision is to promote connections between local sustainability organizations and youth programs/services through this coordinated event.
Please join us to help inspire our communities and educate youth about the impact of climate change, while promoting positive steps to fight it!
