England is a large country inside of Europe. With many tourist attractions this country is a very popular vacation destination. England celebrates many holidays, makes delicious food, and is hot to many celebrities. In addition, England has a very unique form of English, they have a large airport in London, and has many cities to travel to. England is obviously a very popular country to travel to.
Tourist Attractions
Stonehenge is an ancient monument in Wiltshire, England. Covering 8 square miles, these large stones here from 3000 to 1500 B.C.
Windsor Castle is located in Berkshire. This is the largest inhabitable castle. This castle survived the English Civil War.
Holidays
- New Year's Day is celebrated on the first day of the year. The same as in the United States.
- Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14. This holiday is the same as the United States. Some refer to the day as St.Valentine's Day
- Boxing Day is celebrated on the 26 of December, the day after Christmas. This holiday is celebrated to give gifts to people like the mailman, or the delivery guy who "box" your gifts.
