Teachers to Cast Redesign Ballots This Week!
In an effort to encourage greater teacher participation, instead of voting on Apollo Redesign via an online survey, each school will host a staff meeting before or on Wednesday during which balloting will occur. LEA building representatives and district administrators will provide a sign-in sheet, share a short video message from LEA President Laurie Folsom and Superintendent Anthony Lewis, provide balloting instructions, and manage the vote at each school.
Who may/may not vote? All .5 FTE to full-time certified staff members are eligible to vote. If a staff member is .5 FTE in one building and .5 FTE in another building, that staff member is eligible to vote in both buildings. Any staff member on a leave of absence who will be returning next year is eligible to vote. Any staff member working in a building less than .5 FTE is not eligible to vote. Staff members who have filed paperwork to retire or who have completed paperwork to resign at the end of the year also are not eligible to vote. Any teacher eligible to vote who is absent during the vote should see their LEA representative and vote no later than 10 a.m. on Friday.
~Laurie Folsom, LEA president, and Dr. Anthony Lewis, superintendent

School Redesign - From Kyleigh Edwards
I want to share some more resources with you about the Redesign Project. These were compiled with the help of Mena Hill and Sarabeth. I personally am very excited about the possibility of changing our schools for the better and really hope that you will consider this opportunity. The first survey sent out by Laurie is to find out how prepared our school is to take this step and a follow up vote will take place starting on March 6th. Please come talk to Sarabeth or me about this if you have more questions or are interested in a discussion about it.

District deadlines:
- The survey will be available to complete for all staff who are .5 to full time FTE from Feb. 12-19.
- Schools will be given the results of these surveys by February 28.
- Each certified staff member will then be given the opportunity to vote from March 6-20.
- Those schools who have at least 80% of their members indicating they approve joining in the process will then fill out an application form.
- On April 16, the Apollo schools will be announced.
Please come talk to Sarabeth or me about this if you have questions or are interested in a discussion about it. Also, please share this with any certified staff who I might have missed.
Thank you!
Kyleigh Edwards
