Independent variable:what you change,first in the hypothesis, what is being tested, The cause variable. Dependent variable: what you measure, last part of a hypothesis, the data that we collect, the effect variable. Constant: sometimes called "control variables", at least three that you can change but keep them the same, can't be iv or dv. Control: sometimes called the "control group, not every experiment has a control, can't be iv or dv, but relates to iv. Example: watering plants with fertilizer. Iv- amount of fertilizer. Dv- plant growth. Constant - temperature, location, container, amount of water, type of fertilizer. Control-plain water
