What's Happening in June

St. Thomas Public Library

An update from your library...

On March 16, St. Thomas Public Library was ordered to close our doors in response to the COVID-19 crisis. As a result, the building was closed, programs were cancelled, and circulation of materials stopped. We're working hard to connect with you in new ways during this difficult time. We're planning ahead to virtual programming and working on a plan for curbside pickup to launch as soon as we're able to do so safely. For more information, please visit our website and view our press release. Thanks for sticking it out with us and doing your part to stay home! Stay well, we look forward to seeing you again soon.

3D Printers for Sew Strong

St. Thomas Public Library has been working with a network of community members to 3D print and vinyl cut mask clips and face shields for frontline and essential workers! So far, over 14,000 of these clips have made their way to workers across Ontario! To learn more about the SewStrong project or get involved, visit their website here: https://www.sewstrong.ca/

Little Free Libraries

Did you know St. Thomas has many little free libraries located around town? While we're closed, we've been stocking as many of them as we can find with retired library books, like the one at the elevated park! If you need to get your reading fix, look for a little free library in your community! Remember to sanitize books before you read them by wiping them with disinfectant, and wash your hands after you are done.
