A Quick Message...
Dear Holy Family Community,
We hope this message finds you well. We had an absolutely wonderful week here at Holy Family, filled with exciting activities and a great sense of community spirit. As we gear up for the Halloween festivities, we want to express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to making our recent events a success.
A special thank you goes out to the Friends of Holy Family for hosting the Halloween Dance this past Friday. Your dedication and effort truly made the event memorable, creating a festive atmosphere that brought joy to all who attended.
Additionally, we want to extend heartfelt appreciation to the incredible volunteers who generously gave their time and energy to support various aspects of our activities. Your commitment to our community is truly commendable, and we are grateful for your invaluable contributions.
As we look forward to the Halloween celebrations ahead, let's continue to embrace the spirit of togetherness and create lasting memories for our Holy Family. Thank you all for being an essential part of our vibrant community.
Wishing you a spooktacular Halloween!
Warm regards,
The Staff at HFCS
This is a gentle reminder about our upcoming Remembrance Day commemoration on November 3rd at 9:15 am. We extend a special invitation to all family members serving with the RCMP or the Royal Canadian Military to join us for this solemn occasion.
Scouts Canada, Girl Guides, and Cadets are invited to wear their uniforms to school, adding a touch of honor to the event. To show our unity, we encourage all students and staff to wear red on this day.
This year marks a significant milestone - 75 years of peacekeepers. In honor of this occasion, students are expressing their respect by creating origami cranes. Your presence and participation would mean a lot to us as we come together to remember and pay tribute.
Please join us as we reflect on the sacrifices made for peace and freedom.
More Than a Broken Record
Gospel Reading - Sunday, October 29th, 2023
You are a spiritual creature having a physical experience. You are more than just your physical body. You have a mind and you have a soul as well. And that body, mind and soul has the ability to change the world while following just two rules.
Our Lady of Reconciliation
As we observe All Saints Day on November 1st, we at Holy Family find solace in the embrace of our patron saint, Our Lady of Reconciliation. On this sacred day, we reflect on the lives of saints, known and unknown, who inspire us with their unwavering faith.
Our Lady of Reconciliation holds a special place in our hearts as a symbol of forgiveness and grace. In prayerful unity, we offer the following prayer:
"Lord Jesus Christ, who by your precious blood, have reconciled the world to God the Father and who have chosen to name your Mother Reconciler of sinners, we ask that you grant us forgiveness of our sins by the tender intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary."
May this prayer guide us in seeking reconciliation, forgiveness, and the path of righteousness. On this All Saints Day, let us draw inspiration from the saints and Our Lady of Reconciliation, as we strive to live lives of compassion, virtue, and spiritual growth.
