- Summer 2019 International Internships Scholarships: The Reves Center awards a number of scholarships to students undertaking international summer internships. Students must be involved in full-time internships overseas or in domestic agencies/organizations that are international in focus. Application Deadline: April 15, 2019, no later than 2:59 PM. - Paul C Jost Summer Scholarship: The Jost Summer Scholarship provides financial assistance for summer study for continuing William & Mary undergraduate students in leadership positions, including, but not limited to, student government positions. One scholarship for approximately $2000 will be awarded each summer.
- Order of the White Jackets: This scholarship is funded through the Order of the White Jackets, OWJ’s goals and objectives include fostering and strengthening the fraternal bond between alumni who served in food service, promoting the honor and dignity of work ethic through manual labor to finance a college education, supporting current students working their way through college in food service

PR & Media Relations intern with the Virginia Historical Society
The Virginia Historical Society is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the Commonwealth's history, to link the past with the present and inspire future generations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Necessary:
· Knowledge of African American History
· Experience writing press releases
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Must be outgoing and comfortable cold calling/emailing
· Must possess great accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to address challenging questions with grace and tact including those related to issues around race in Virginia
· Ability to prioritize and thoughtfully plan work activities combined with a willingness to adapt and flex to changing needs
· Ability to meet deadlines
· Experience using multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
· Ability to connect with diverse audiences and partners
Required Education and/or Experience:
· Undergraduate student in a degree program for communications, media relations or a related field with a 3.0 GPA or higher
· High level of comfort using new tech interfaces
· Solid grasp of grammatical rules and great attention to detail
· Prior internship or work experience, especially in a PR or related role
· Interest in history a plus

Summer Public Programs Internship with the North Carolina Aquarium
Summer Public Programs interns will gain skills in conducting education programs on a variety of marine and freshwater topics including sharks, sea turtles, snakes and more. Interns will be trained on handling live animals and how to effectively do presentations for the public with our animal ambassadors. Other areas in which interns will receive training include but are not limited to interpreting at our interactive touch pools, staffing discovery carts, interpreting during feeding presentations, and answering questions in various galleries.
Internships begin in late May with a relatively flexible start date and last for 10 weeks. Possible evening, weekend and holiday work are required. You must be at least 18 years old to apply. Application materials for summer intern positions are due March 15th.
Currently enrolled in college-level coursework; candidates must be working toward a degree in Biology, Marine Sciences, Natural Resources, Environmental Education, Parks and Rec, Teaching or a related field. Check out Tribe Careers for more information!

Senior Counselor with LEAP (Leadership, Education and Athletics in Partnership) in New Haven, CT
The purpose of the Senior Counselor is to lead a group of 15-20 children with co-counselors to serve as a teacher, mentor and positive role model while they develop academically and socially. Senior Counselors are the center of the LEAP experience for their children, and they must demonstrate the highest level of commitment.
During the summer, each Senior Counselor partners with another Senior Counselor and two Junior Counselors (New Haven high school students) to teach and support a group of children between the ages of seven and twelve (7-12) using literacy-based curriculum and a range of enrichment activities (i.e. swimming, computer science, creative writing), as well as field trips and excursions. Counselors receive support to create, implement and participate in daily activities to encourage their children’s academic, social, emotional and physical development.

English Language Assistant
Travel to the best places in Spain. AC Internship Abroad participants will practice as English language assistants in primary and secondary schools in Spain, with children aged 3 to 16. It is a good opportunity for all participants to enhance personal growth and live a vibrant experience learning our languages and culture.
This internship is open to undergraduates and recent graduates.
We offer our program as a valuable option to be thoroughly considered. Participants will learn new skills and gain experience to add value to their CV, benefitting their career prospects.
Task:
Under the guidance and coordination of a school teacher (English language teacher), the language assistants must help the teacher in his program, support oral exercises and share with students aspects of their culture. They will be the key to enhance the learning process of students learning English.
Period:
25 hours per week from Monday to Friday, during school period from October 2019 to June 2020 (nine months).
Participants will receive:
- Host family accommodation: room and full board
- Transport from home to school and from school to home
- A guidance tutor, to help and look after their welfare during their stay
- Spanish online lessons with a native teacher.
- All inclusive + 300 €/month
- Vacations according to the school calendar

Research Assistant-Center on Addiction (NYC)
Center on Addiction is seeking a part-time Spanish-fluent Research Assistant to work on ongoing research projects related to improving the quality of care for adolescents and for pregnant and postpartum women who misuse substances. The Research Assistant will work within a small team to help with a variety of study tasks.
The position is based in New York City, with frequent travel to New Jersey to visit study sites and collect data.
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:
· Translating study materials into Spanish
· Conducting focus groups and semi-structured interviews with study participants in Spanish and English
· Conducting home-based assessments with study participants in Spanish and English
· Transcribing and coding qualitative interview data
· Online data management
· Development of monthly feedback reports with clinician data
· Monitoring of continuing education certifications
· Coding of recorded therapy sessions and home visits (after training)

Special Assistant to the President-- Brennan Center for Justice NYU
The Special Assistant will work closely with the President on all aspects of his role at the Brennan Center. The role is part management, part research and writing, and part administrative assistance. Past responsibilities have included managing email correspondence, coordinating research for a new book, arranging travel for fundraising trips, producing background memos for media appearances, drafting op-eds, managing meeting logistics, and assisting with public events. The Special Assistant to the President also attends weekly meetings with senior management.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic individual with a passion for public policy and politics, and a desire to be at the center of running a fast-paced, ambitious organization. This is a great opportunity for someone 1-2 years out of college interested in the leadership and management of a policy and legal nonprofit organization, or for a special candidate right out of college. It is also ideal for someone who plans to attend law school.
