From Mr. Schimpf

I am proud to have been the principal here at South Putnam for the past four years. In that time we have seen a number of changes, but one thing remains-the care and quality of our students. The group of educators who walk these halls do great things for students. We are not perfect, but we work to achieve the absolute best outcomes for students and take to heart the responsibility granted to us by the parents of this community. From going one-to-one with chromebooks, upgrading facilities, collaborating with the elementary buildings Via Trunk or Treat and Winter Wonderland, beginning the Marigold Project, the Putnam County Senior Job fair for upcoming graduates, adding new teachers and curricular responsibilities such as computer science, additional AP and dual credit courses, a new media center, and presenters from as far away as Finland, we have worked to provide the best experience that we have known possible.

Thank you for entrusting us to challenge and hopefully inspire students. I hope that you have a fantastic summer, and will watch for good things to come from Eagle country.

SP Ethics Bowl Moves On

The Ethics Bowl Team qualified to attend the Summer Ethics Bowl Competition at DePauw University this June. They qualified by placing in the top four teams at regional competition in February. As an inaugural team, they were pleasantly surprised to perform so well and earn such a prestigious invitation. Good Luck, Ethics Bowl Team!
