Remembering Mr. Goodnight
Dear Maranatha Family,
Mr. Goodnight, one of the founders of Maranatha Christian Academy, and the first Principal, ascended to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. A recent picture of Mr. Goodnight is attached to his email. His service at Maranatha began in 1974. In 1975 he began teaching at Maranatha, teaching mathematics, Bible and History. His former students remember him for the caring and kind heart that he had for his students. One former student commented, “He was my favorite teacher and its sad to hear of his passing.”
Mr. Larry Goodnight is survived by his wife, Judy, and his son and daughter, who both attended Maranatha Christian Academy. His daughter, Mrs. Corrie Eisenbraun, graduated from MCA in 1992. She has been the Lead teacher in our Blue Room; the 3 to 4 years olds. This will make her 10th year serving at Maranatha. She has three children.
We want to honor Mr. Larry Goodnight for his service over the years to Maranatha. His leadership, diligence and vision were important for the foundation of our great school.
Cards for the family may be dropped off in any of the school offices. Gift cards for meals and checks to help cover additional expenses at this time would be appreciated by the family as there are a lot of extra expenses at times like these and this presents a challenge especially just ten days from Christmas. Your encouragement will be greatly appreciated!
When we learn about the time of the services, we will pass that along to you. Please be praying for the Goodnight family and the Eisenbraun family!
Blessings!
