Summer Learning 2020
Keep thinking over the summer
Summer is here...
Summertime can pose challenges when it comes to keeping kids active and engaged in productive learning. We'll all face new difficulties this year with shelter in place. Below are some options to keep your children engaged, creating, and designing. There is a great video below about Little Inventors and really tapping into the imaginations of young people and encouraging the design process to solve problems. The video discusses the importance of nurturing that process along the way so that one day these little inventors will adapt and create inventions that help people and perhaps the world.
At Home Learning
The GT specialist team designed higher-level thinking lessons to support families and help enrich and extend student learning. These short lessons and activities are appropriate for students who seek an additional challenge. Some activities are geared towards one specific grade level, while others are appropriate for multiple age groups. Please use the activities and experiences on the document linked below as a tool to ignite some fun summer learning!
