Panther Pause

Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence

Dear Parents and Students,

I know that as a parent, many of us are facing the reality that our child will be graduating in May. They will be going to college, starting a new job, or joining the military. As our children/students grow, it is always an exciting and nerve-racking time. We are constantly faced with the challenges of giving our kids room to grow and learn, while protecting them from the many unknowns that we face on a daily basis. As the principal of a large high school, it is always exciting to hear about what our students want to accomplish after graduation. We are extremely blessed to be surrounded by so much talent. While there are no guarantees in life, I feel confident in saying our students will make a positive and lasting impact in society as they grow into the leaders I know they are capable of becoming. Thank you for collaborating and working with us to prepare all of our "kids" as they venture into the future after high school.

Have a great weekend!

Panther Pride,

Conrad Streeter

CHHS Principal

student voice

Are there any words of advice or encouragement you could give a student interested in joining the GCISD Water Polo team?

Although water polo is a sport that most people consider to be outside of the box in Texas, I encourage everyone to check it out, because it has lead to the most fun four years of my life. The biggest advice I have for the students looking into joining the team next year is to condition your body to swim and try out. Water polo is a sport that every student can engage in; don't let the speedos deter you! Also, I encourage our student body to come and support all of the upcoming games in the future.
