Fife High School Weekly Updates... For Staff

January 6-January 10 2020

Staff,

Welcome back! I hope you had a fantastic and well deserved vacation, and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone! Personally I had a much needed vacation, and I'm coming back inspired with renewed sense of why I love teaching. Over the break I got to visit the National Reconstruction Museum in South Carolina, Gettysburg in Pennsylvania (pictured), and the National World War 2 Museum in New Orleans. Life changing for me, and a reminder of the importance of work we do as educators.

We are on the three week home stretch prior to the end of the semester, so our all of us are going to have to hit the ground running.

Some advanced things to keep in mind:

  • No FifeStrong lesson this week, we are cancelling lesson 10.8 and will begin back with lesson 10.9 on the 14th.
  • January 17th we will have our MLK assembly (during flex time slot)
  • January 20 No school MLK day
  • January 23 and 24 is finals, be sure to check the staff calendar for those schedules.

I really appreciated the input and discussion at our staff meeting prior to break, based on that we are going to put together some good thoughts for us to launch 2nd semester. One thing right away, during flex, please do NOT send anyone out of your areas without a pass.

Thank you for reading staff hits,

Brandon
