- A guardian must deliver or send a note with the student stating the relative has their permission to eat lunch with the student
- Children that are school age (PK-12) may not have lunch with a sibling.
Parents are encouraged to keep money in their child’s lunch account in case their child forgets a lunch. We do not deliver drop off lunches to students.

Library News
Birthday Books – The Birthday Book program is a wonderful way to donate a book to our school library in honor of your child’s birthday. No matter what month the birthday is, NOW is the time to register for this year. Please pay using School Cash, AND return the lavender form that was sent home in first-day packets. If you need another copy, it’s attached to the newsletter.
Board Books – Once again we are collecting board books for our littlest Pre-K Lions to check out. If you have any like-new board books, please have your child bring them to the library.
VOLUNTEERS – The library needs volunteers! We need lots of volunteers to make the library our KIND of place. We have 10 openings during the week to assist with class check-out and other tasks, and we also need substitutes for when these 10 volunteers can’t make a weekly shift (sick kids and emergencies happen). We also need volunteers to work our book fair. Please sign up in PTO manager as a Library Helper and/or Book Fair volunteer to receive additional information.
PreK, LS, PPCD, Kinder, 1st & 2nd grade AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR VISIT
On Monday, September 23rd, author Bob Shea and illustrator Zacariah OHora will be at Hamilton to share their hilarious new book Who Wet My Pants? This visit is sponsored by Blue Willow Bookshop. If your child would like an autographed book(s), orders must be received online by Monday, September 16th using this link: https://www.bluewillowbookshop.com/school-visits-bob-shea-and-zachariah-ohora . Garden News...
What a wonderful first day back in the garden at Hamilton Elementary.
Third grade students did an amazing job planting some beautiful butterfly plants and helping to prepare our vegetable beds for Fall crops.
We planted New Gold Lantana in the butterfly gardens in honor of the upcoming Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The gorgeous tubular shaped flower is the ideal for pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds. Students learned that flowers like these and gardens like Hamilton's are very important in helping with the upcoming Monarch Migration, they will need to stop often to refuel on their way South.
It was a great day to be outside in the garden and Ready to Grow Gardens looks forward to another fabulous year in your school's garden!
*Note: The butterfly and vegetable garden experience is made possible by our PTO. Thank you for supporting the Hamilton Elem. PTO!
