Lincoln Lowdown

Well, the 2018-2019 school year is coming to a close and as I reflect on this year I am very proud of the work of our students, staff and parent community. First of all I want to say thank you for giving me the privilege to work with your kids. As I stated at curriculum night when I read one of my favorite excerpts from "Chicken Soup for the Soul" titled I am a teacher, which ends with the following paragraph.

Who do I have to thank for this wonderful life, I am so fortunate to experience, but you the public, the parents. For you have done me the great honor to entrust to me your greatest contribution to eternity, your children. And so I have a past that is rich in memories. I have a present that is challenging, adventurous, and fun because I am allowed to spend my days with the future. I am a teacher....and I am thankful for it every day.

Thank you for helping me make the 90th year of Lincoln a great one!!

Talent Show and wrap up

Today we were entertained by some awesome acts and our students were able to showcase their talents. Thank you to Ms. Dainko for helping with the music, and Mr. Underhill and Ms. Morris for taking the talent show on and organizing the wonderful morning. I am so proud of our students! They were so brave to perform and they did a remarkable job. I will highlight the morning acts with some highlights on our Twitter account, later this weekend checkout our Twitter page @Lincolnd303 and our facebook page.

Farewell from Ms. Dainko

As I pack my belongings to move from Lincoln to Munhall Elementary, I take with me so much more than the many items I’ve collected over the last seven years. I carry with me the tender thoughts and fond memories of all the members of the Lincoln community. Not only have you allowed me to learn and grow with you, you have given me the great honor of serving you and your precious children. For this, I am sincerely grateful. Thank you for making my time at Lincoln rich and fulfilling. Lincoln truly is a very special place. I love and will miss you all. My best to you, Mrs. Dainko

It should be offered to them as a precious gift.” —Kate DiCamillo

Welcome New Kindergarten Families!

We’d like to give your family the opportunity to get to know Lincoln staff members and interact with other kindergarten families. Prior to the June 25th Lincoln Summer Family Fun Event your family is invited to join us early (from 6:30 - 7:00p.m. and from 5:30-6:00 August 7th).
