CPR + (Creating Postive Relationships)

November 3-7: 5th-8th grade students

November 10-14: 10th grade(and new 11th-12th grade students)

TPCA has had the privilege of partnering for several years now with an organization based in Carmel, IN called Creating Positive Relationships (CPR). The program's goal is to reduce sexual activity among teenagers. While the fifth grade curriculum mainly focuses on puberty, basic anatomy and hygiene, the focus of the 6th, 7th, 8th and high school messages is that postponing sexual activity until marriage is the healthiest and best choice. Parents, please view a more detailed description of the CPR+ topics and curriculum by grade level by clicking HERE. This program is presented in schools throughout Indiana, the USA and around the world using both a values-based (CPR) or a biblically based (CPR+) format.

The curriculum used with our school (the PLUS in CPR+), is biblically based so students also hear that God's desire is for sexual activity to remain within the boundaries of marriage. Students are helped to adopt a whole person approach in delaying sexual activity, considering the mental, emotional, social and physical aspects of human sexuality.

There are additional parent information handouts on 8th grade and high school CPR + curriculum on Parents Web under Resources. Please contact our guidance counselor, Ms. Julie Harris with any questions.

JH and HS Girls: Christian Perspective on Self-Image

Helping Our Daughters Know Who They Are In Christ
Spend just a few minutes viewing any media and you will gain a shocking picture of how our culture views women. What impact is this having on our girls' self-image? How can we help them to value themselves in Christ rather than through the prevalent cultural lies about who they are?

We are very pleased to share that Traders Point is partnering with you to help your daughters learn who they are in Christ by bringing a special speaker to meet with our junior and senior high ladies during Mentor Group time in November about this important topic. TPCA mom Dr. Lori Hoffeditz is a Christian Licensed Mental Health Counselor who loves Jesus, has a passion for TPCA and the heart to help our daughters look toward Christ for their self-image. Dr. Hoffeditz uses biblical guidance, bringing to light any darkness and/or lies that our girls may believe about themselves. We need to come alongside of them as women in Christ and help them fight the lies with truth!

All junior high female mentor groups and leaders will meet with Dr. Hoffeditz on Friday, November 14 during mentor group time.

All high school female mentor groups and leaders will meet with Dr. Hoffeditz on Friday, November 21 during mentor group time.

TPCA All School Parent & Staff Survey to Begin Soon

Last year our Board of Directors and school leadership developed a new short-term strategic plan for the academy. This fall they are working to develop a 3-5 year strategic plan for programs as well as a master plan for facilities. As they seek what’s on God’s heart for Traders Point, they want to know our parents and staff member’s thoughts about many different aspects of our school.

To accomplish this, we have contracted with Development Testing Services (DTS) in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to conduct an anonymous, full school survey. This will be a comprehensive online survey that will provide us with vital data on many areas, such as: parents and staff commendations & concerns; marketing; financial value and tuition factors; demographics; mission; homework; retention and recruitment; employee related areas (for staff); school culture; suggestions and words of encouragement. DTS has much experience in this area, with Christian schools and with TPCA. They conducted full school surveys for us in 2003, 2007 and 2010, so we will also receive comparative data against those prior surveys. Results will be available within a few weeks of the survey close and will be shared with our parents and staff.

This is the most exciting time in the history of our school, and many important decisions are coming upon us. We want you to be a part of our planning process and your participation in this survey is vital. Yes, it will take some of your time. However, this is your opportunity to voice your thoughts and help Traders Point be the best school possible in every area.

Please plan now to respond fully and promptly when you receive the survey link next week from DTS. As an extra incentive to complete the survey, you can report 1 hour of service time for completing the survey. The survey actually only takes about 10-15 minutes (for each enrolled child you have) to complete. We treasure our partnership with you in providing a biblical worldview, values-based education for your students. Thank you in advance for your time!

SCRIP-Earn Cash Back for Tuition!

Great news! Just in time for the Christmas shopping season, we are launching the Scrip program this month for ALL FAMILIES at Traders Point! With scrip fundraising, families can easily earn cash for tuition for their own children (80%) and for the school (20%) while they shop.

Scrip is simple. Order gift cards, e-cards, reloadable or printable certificates for many places at which you shop, dine and play already and a percentage of what you spend comes right back to you as a credit on your student account. Simply use scrip gift cards for everyday purchases, and earn a rebate on each one at no additional cost.

Scrip is much easier than in the past. Families will purchase all orders online – no checks, no submitting order forms to the school -- and your cards/certificates are available either instantly for print, redemption on your Smartphone, or as reloadable gift cards. For more information, visit the Scrip website at

To sign up you will need our Traders Point enrollment code. However, we are unable to publicly publish our enrollment code for security reasons. Please email for this code and further directions.

We pray this will be a blessing to all of our Traders Point families!
