Recognizing Artists
Although there are certain months when artists are recognized nationally, District 103 would like to recognize its artists for the incredible job they do daily and for being selected to represent their school.
District 103 students have artwork displayed at the Lincolnshire Village Hall through mid-May. Take a walk through the village entrance hall to view artwork from each grade level. The following Half Day students have artwork on display: Aadya Kancherla (3),
Caden Kutilek (3), Nuha Faizuddin (4), Lucas Luo (4), Emma Lin (5), Alekhya Chilamkurthy (5), and Ally Potter (5).
On Tuesday, May 17, about 15 percent of students will have their artwork on display at the Stevenson Consortium Art Show. Visit the show from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Field House at SHS. Families will be notified if their child is selected to participate in this event.
Explore the Arts Day takes place at Half Day during the day on Wednesday, May 18. It is a day where students enjoy a variety of art forms.
If you have a particular talent you'd like to share with our students, we would LOVE to showcase it!
For questions about Explore the Arts Day, please email explore.the.arts.day@gmail.com
Complete the Explore the Arts Day 2022 Interest form if you are locked and loaded with an idea!
The Celebrating Art contest deadline closes Thursday, April 7.
Please visit the school's Facebook page or the Google Doc folder to see pictures of the activities.

Moving Ahead
Classroom placement is an important process for our students. Our teachers and staff invest significant time and effort to ensure the creation of healthy learning groups and environments. It is important to develop balanced classrooms by considering students’ gender, academic, social, and emotional needs. We strive to create an optimal learning environment for students in each of our teachers classrooms.
If you wish to share more specific information about your child's placement, please indicate your thoughts on this Optional Parent Input Form.
Please complete the form no later than midnight on April 30, 2022.
The input you provide will be reviewed and considered as we begin planning for your child for the 2022-2023 school year. While specific teacher requests cannot be accommodated, your insight is valued as we take many variables into consideration.
Please note, the input you share is not private between the principal and parent and will be shared during the placement process. Please complete a form for each of your children, if desired.
We look forward to providing your child with continued learning excellence! Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts with our staff.
