It's a great day to be a Leopard!

GHS Wins Big at Regional UIL and Sends Jake to State!

It was a great day for our Leopards at the Regional Academic UIL meet! GHS had 7 Regional qualifiers in Prose, Poetry, Informative Extemp, LD Debate, Computer Apps, Editorial Writing, Feature Writing, News Writing and Ready Writing.

We advanced all speakers to finals, and got our first State Qualifier in Prose!!!! Jake Conner placed 2nd in prose, Niaomi Dawson placed 6th in poetry, Tucker Craft placed 4th in LD and 8th in extemp. So much Leopard Pride!

Special Olympics Pep Rally

We love our Special Olympics athletes!! On Friday morning, the students were given a pep rally and send off at the high school before they left for their two day meet at UTA! Go Leopards! We are so proud of you!

Area Track Meet

At the Area meet, Josh Kemp placed 4th in the 400M with a time of 51.4, advancing to Regionals, which will be held on April 27 at Commerce. To see all results, click HERE.

Gainesville had 2 relays and two individuals compete at the Area meet.

Online Student Registration is Coming!

Say goodbye to completing multiple registration forms for multiple students across the district. GISD parents will be able to complete registration papers for the 2018-2019 school year ONLINE through parent portal!

All parents will receive instructions for Parent Portal with the 5th 6 weeks report card coming in the mail/folder. You will need an email address to register your student.


Child Nutrition Superheroes!

Aramark Child Nutrition Director for GISD, Lynn Prichard, prepared a SUPER employee appreciation luncheon for the child nutrition staff. The healthy food prepared for our students for breakfast and lunch help them get the most out of their day at school. These ladies are all SUPER important to our schools and we appreciate you!
