Providing a welcoming environment and a focus on student safety to our school
Parking Wars
Our library staff participated in Godwin's Parking Wars where we offered our staff parking spots to students to the highest bidder. All proceeds benefited the Godwin Family Assistance Fund, and as a thank you, we offered our "winners" a special Chipotle lunch in the library.
Book Christmas Tree
To make our library more inviting over the holidays, we constructed a tree made completely out of books from our shelves. Once assembled, we held a contest to see if anyone could guess how many books were used! We had one student winner who guessed the exact number (422) and one faculty winner who came very close (416). Each winner was given a $20 gift card to Barnes and Noble.
Book Exchange
Every year, our book club sponsors the Godwin Book Exchange. We accept book donations from students, staff, and the community and then organize several days where students can come in and "shop" for free to choose books to keep! This is a great way to recycle great books.

Mrs. Freed always checks passes during the day to ensure students are where they need to be!
Student Helpers
One of our student helpers LOVES coming to the library to help us whenever he can. He is a great asset to our team, and he has learned a lot about the way the library functions. According to his teachers, the library is his favorite place to be!
