Note from Mrs. Craft
Dear Hart Families,
"Hats off to Hart" has been a great big success this week. Our teachers and staff have felt loved and appreciated. A big huge thank you to our amazing PTO, Kraus Orthodontics, Total Air & Heat, and the Lauten Family for your generous donations to make this week special for our well deserving staff.
Last Saturday, we had many families attend the Lovejoy ISD STEM festival. We are very proud of our students who presented, and it was definitely a fun day to SEE. LEARN. & DO.
As a Leader, one of my personal goals is to continuously grow and improve to better serve our community. As part of my reflection process, I am seeking feedback from you, our amazing parents. Thank you in advance for helping me grow as a Leader.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me at anytime.
All My Best,
Wendy Craft

My mission is to be a servant leader who works with students, parents, and staff to build a community that fosters relationships and learning where everyone THRIVES. Each day, I strive to make the choice to be great versus comfortable, because you can't be both!

Attendance Update
Attendance continues to be a top priority for Lovejoy ISD. It should come as no surprise that attendance has a direct relationship with student learning. Additionally, public school funding is provided by the State of Texas based on each district's average daily attendance (ADA).
Lovejoy has developed an Attendance Task Force consisting of staff, parents, and students to formulate ideas about how to positively impact ADA in our district. One suggestion is to update the community via weekly principal communication on the number of absences each campus has accrued YTD along with the budgetary impact of those absences. This information can be found below:

MEDICATIONS - Please make sure your child has exactly enough medication to finish the school year. Lovejoy ISD has a policy prohibiting extra medication to be returned home with the student, this includes any non-prescription medication. Therefore, a parent or guardian must pick up the medication at the clinic. Medications will need to be picked up by Friday, May 26th at noon.
Any remaining medications, including inhalers, will be discarded at the end of the school year. Medications cannot be stored during the summer months. Please remember if your child will continue to need medications during the 2023-2024 school year, you will need to have a new medication form (and action plan if needed) completed for the fall.
