Learn About Me!

the future belongs to those who follow their dreams

This is Me!

My name is MacKenzie Springer! I am a competitive swimmer and have been for about 6 years in June! Swimming is my passion and I couldn't ever see my life without it! I swim 6 days a week, 3 hours a day, and 2 of the days it is twice a day! Yes, swimming SO much gets annoying, but everyone on my team is like my family! I can never be away from them for too long!

Brain Hemispheres

One of the first things we learned about was which side of the brain we rely on, mine was the right side. The right side is for people who are more intuitive, simultaneous, and don't really need a routine. The left brain is for people who are rational, sequential, and love to have routine.

After learning about our brains, we learned about our personality colors. You could either be orange, green, blue, or gold. I am orange! Being orange means I'm spunky and live in the moment. I do things to have fun instead of winning, I enjoy some competition every once in a while. I listen to have fun, I'm adventurous and charming. My personality also doesn't work well with people who can't get on the crazy side and have fun!

Kuder Job Results

The Job I Really Want To Do Is....

The New Erin Andrews

The job I am most interested in is being a news broadcaster. I would like to start at a small company, such as KNWA, but eventually make my way up to being with a company like Fox Sports, NBC Sports, and most definitely ESPN. I would love to be just like Erin Andrews, she covers and has covered Big 10 basketball, College World Series, 2011 Rose Bowl, and she also covered the Scripps National Spelling Bee on ESPN.

Graduation to Mizzou!

Bentonville, AR

Today is the day I graduate high school and prepare to be a college student! Go Tigers!

The Next Step...

After finding which job we wanted to do was, then we searched the recommended degree to get. To be a News Broadcaster, it would be best for me to get a type of degree involving journalism and broadcasting. All of the schools below offer those degrees. I have always been interested in Mizzou because it has the top journalism school in the country, but I would also love to be located somewhere that is a warm climate which for sure would be Stanford. Staying here would definitely be a plus so I am close to family.

Missouri University

I want to attend the University of Missouri, or Mizzou. I am very interested in writing and journalism. Mizzou has a very good journalism school. Journalism will help me get a job in broadcasting or something like a television career. I am a competitive swimmer and have gone to swim camps there before, but I don't think I want to swim in college.
