Crisis Prevention Institute Certification Training

This training is to teach the different (verbal and physical) techniques for dealing with students in crisis. The training teaches verbal and (a more restrictive) physical continuum for handling mild to severe crisis situations. Participants must attend both days. No partial credit will be given.
This course is required for newly hired IAs. Teachers will be accepted in to course if space allows.
Recertification Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention

This training is to reteach the different (verbal and physical) techniques for dealing with students in crisis. The training reteaches verbal and (a more restrictive) physical continuum for handling mild to severe crisis situations. You must hold a valid CPI certification to participate.
This course is required for IAs needing recertification. Teachers will be accepted if space allows.
Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Full Course

Participants will learn how to perform CPR, unconscious/conscious choking, and first aid skills and how to use an AED during an emergency. Participants must attend both days in order to receive credit. Payment will be collected the first day of the event. Checks to be made payable to East Penn School District. This is a required course for newly hired IAs needing certification or IAs with a certificate that expired more than 12 months ago. Teachers will be accepted if space allows. Sign up on CPE Tracker.

Internet Safety and Security

Explore different methods about talking to kids of any age who may be curious about internet safety and security. Learn how to create a secure environment in your classroom to have open discussions about the online world, discover resources on the topic, and learn about how your students can safely navigate the Worldwide Web as digital citizens.
Getting to Know SAS

The Standards Aligned System (SAS), developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, is a comprehensive, researched-based resource to improve student achievement. SAS identifies six elements that impact student achievement: Standards, Assessments, Curriculum Framework, Instruction, Materials & Resources, and Safe and Supportive Schools. Schools and educators across Pennsylvania are supported in their efforts to implement SAS by the development of a state-of-the-art portal.
Introduction to Google Suite

Google Suite for Education is a complement of cloud based tools that allow you produce, create, and collaborate easily and in real time. This course will introduce you to the key components of G Suite and let you experiment with the tools you may want to use in your classroom.
Introduction to Technology Resources

In our current world, it is hard to find places where technology has not become a facet of lives, and with each generation the utilization and reliance on technology to make things more efficient seems to grow. It only stands to reason that it is important to harness the power of technology for student learning. In this course, we will take a look at the meaningful ways that technology can and should be integrated into the instructional process, not just for the sake of using technology, but to truly enhance the learning process. As you work and learn, you may find some really interesting tools, but I urge you to make sure you are looking beyond the "bling" to the purpose and end result to make sure that you are employing the best tools for learning!

The Bucks Lehigh EduSummit is a collaboratively organized and facilitated two day professional learning experience coordinated by educators in the Catasauqua Area School District, Cheltenham School District, North Penn School District, Palisades School District, Quakertown Community School District, Salisbury Township School District, Saucon Valley School District , Southern Lehigh School District, Bucks County IU, Carbon Lehigh IU, NEPAECT and SEPAECT, which are all located in Bucks, Lehigh, and Montgomery County Pennsylvania. The purpose of the EduSummit is to collaborate, connect, share, and learn together for the benefit of our kids across the tri state area.
