Mrs. Brown's Newsletter

Classroom news:
This week has been very BUSY! Between the schedule changes, assemblies, magic tricks, dancing, and dogs, I wasn't sure if we could squeeze in any academics.....don't worry we still found time for reading, math and writing. :) On Friday took advantage and went outside for an extra recess. When it is 60 in January, you HAVE to go outside and PLAY!
At today's assembly, our very own Matthew won the character trait for Courage. He was nominated by Mrs. Martin his fifth grade teacher. It was wonderful to see him go up and receive his award. The other boys were very excited for him. Way to go Matthew!!!
Next week we will learn about Groundhog's Day and start our Valentine's Day projects. It will be a little slower paced and as we gear up for the *possible* snow storm heading our way.
Enjoy the warm weather this weekend!
