The Great Depression
The Great Depression lasted from 1929-1939, and it was 10 years long. The Great Depression was when everyone was poor and lost their money, some people fought over trash because they were so hungry. Most children got out of school to get a job to help their families. The people that had jobs lowered the prices so they could have money for their families. Their homes were dirty, small and it was a little high up and they were mostly made of wood and maybe some hay.
