What A First Few Weeks!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The school year has begun with sunny skies and wide smiles for staff and students. The sense of relief to have "school look like school again" is palpable and energizing for staff and students alike. "Well begun is half done" goes the idiom and starting as well as we have makes us look forward to the year ahead all the more. We hope and trust that you and your student(s) have settled into something of a routine at this point and want to take a moment to underscore how deeply appreciative we are to our community for sending us such remarkable students.

SHIELD Take Home Testing - Kits Going Home Today

Those families who *opted in* to do take-home SHIELD testing should be receiving kits to bring home today. One completed test should be brought to school first thing on Monday and dropped in the collection box in the school's front lobby. Visit our website for instructions and FAQ related to at-home COVID testing.

IMPORTANT: If you filled out the consent form on August 11th or later, your child will NOT receive tests for this month. As we cautioned in our Back To School Checklist, processing rosters takes SHIELD Illinois some time. Those who completed consent on August 11th or after will begin receiving test kits in September.

Did your child test positive for COVID at home?

Make sure to fill out this form to let your school nurse know, and then someone from the building will be in contact to discuss the next steps with you.
