Naperville PreK2B Students Spend Time in Kindergarten
Creating a Measurement Book
Letter from Mrs. Nelson
Hello!
My name is Mrs. Nelson. I have been the kindergarten teacher here at Chesterbrook Academy Elementary for the last fifteen years. I was so happy to meet your child today. I hope that they were able to share a bit about the visit. My class enjoyed showing off a bit of their day, too!
It won’t be long before your child joins us on their kindergarten journey. Kindergarten is a busy, busy time, filled with many hands on learning experiences. I love guiding the children through them all! I have some wonderful projects planned. We will learn about our location in the United States by collecting leaves from all over the country, create our own business {consumers and producers will be added to your child’s vocabulary}, learn about the farm system {grass to milk}, and even create a windmill. Of course, the children will read, write, add, subtract, perform science experiments, and learn some history… but these skills will be developed through many learning activities designed to make their education engaging. I will keep those little minds active!
Please take a moment to visit my website located on our school’s web page. You can get a glimpse into our day! Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
And, as always, thank you for sharing your children with me.
Mrs. Nelson
