DSS Newsletter
Week of September 23, 2019
From the desk of Jennifer Gottlieb...
Dear DSS Team,
Now that we’ve had our first unit meetings of the year, it finally feels like the 2019-20 school year is in full swing! There are great things happening across the county - thank you for all you do!
Please consider joining our DSS planning meeting on Thursday, October 3, from 9-11 am. We will be taking a look at the artifacts you generated at our September meeting and using them to plan our October meeting and beyond. Contact Marie Smerigan for a calendar invite if you’d like to join us!
Also – more details will be coming later, but please save the date for a DSS Holiday Party on Saturday, December 14, at my home in Troy. Probably around 6:30 PM. J
Take care,
Jennifer

Weekly Legislative Update
From the desk of Jarrad Grandy...
The Resource Fair is an opportunity for the entire organization. The intent is for us to take all of the vendor calls/emails and direct them towards the Resource Fair so we don’t take up our time with vendors…but also it provides an opportunity for the districts to see vendors that they may want to use…without our filter.
Staff should direct their incoming vendor contacts to Andrea.
The business cards (available on Stephanie's desk) are a way for staff to hand vendors a card so they aren’t getting inundated with calls and emails when they go to a conference.
