What Are You Reading?
Happy 4th of July to all our SEM families! We hope your summer is off to a fantastic start and you are enjoying this long 4th of July weekend where we celebrate our beautiful country, America! We would love to know about all the great reading you are doing so please share in one of the following ways:
1. Add to our SEM Padlet: Click here to go to the padlet. A padlet is like a digital bulletin board. You or your child can add the name, the title of the book, and any description you want to provide. You can take a picture with the book, but you don't have to! We loved seeing Molly McNamara's reading last week! (See the bottom of this newsletter for a video tutorial on how to add to a padlet if this is new for you!)
2. Add to our SEM Flipgrid: Flipgrid is an easy and quick way to leave a video response. You can give a short (90 second or less) talk about a book you've read and why other people might enjoy it. Mrs. Sokolowski's kids get in on the actions this week! You can add to the Flipgrid here.
3. Tweet your reading! Use the #SEMsummer and share a picture of what you are reading on Twitter. You can send your tweets to @SEM_Dalers, too!
We are looking forward to seeing what everyone is reading and getting great recommendations for new reads!

Mark Your Calendars!
Swap 1: Thursday, July 20th at the Farmingdale Library. Stop by between 12:30-2:30.
Swap 2: Wednesday, August 2nd at the Farmingdale Library. Stop by between 12:30-2:30.
Swap 3: Wednesday, August 16th at SEM. Stop by between 10am-12pm.
You don't need to bring books to take part in the swap! If you have books in good condition that you want to bring and share with others, that would be awesome. The Book Swaps offer you a chance to visit with SEM friends and get books to read! Parents, please note this is NOT a drop-off event and an adult needs to be with an SEM student at all times.
