2016 Track Season

Track started on Monday, April 4th for 5th - 8th grade students. Practice is being held at Mount Ellis Elementary School. Practices are on Monday, Wednesday and optional Fridays 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Any questions please contact Coach Jenkins at A welcome letter is attached to this newsletter from Coach Jenkins.


Graham received 5th place at the State Geography Bee. Way to go Graham!!

Student Reminders

Please have students dress in layers and bring a jacket for the unpredictable spring weather.

MSU Family Science Outreach Event

Astronomy & Aerospace Day on Sunday, April 17th 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Museum of the Rockies.

Kindergarten Registration ~ April 8, 2016 at 3:30 p.m.

Kindergarten registration will be held for residents of LaMotte District with children who will be age 5 by September 10, 2016. Please bring copies of birth certificate and immunization records.

School Pride

To show our school pride, we are encouraging students to wear their LaMotte Bears clothing or the school colors (royal blue and yellow or white) every Friday. What a fun way to show that we love our school!

Emergency Lunch

Emergency Lunch ~ Parents just a reminder to be sure and check that your child(ren) still have an emergency lunch in their locker.

Lost and Found

Parents please check in the lost and found bin for lost items, it is bursting at the seams! Parents are asked to label their children’s clothing for easy identification.

Box Tops & Labels for Education Program

We participate in Labels for Education and the Box Tops for Education™ programs. Please send clipped labels to school with your child as you collect them and I will submit them. Sign up at to get coupons and stay updated on our school’s earnings. Money raised from Box Tops is used by the Parent Group to fund projects at the school and Labels earnings can be used by the teachers to get supplies for the classroom. Thanks for helping!
