Week of September 30th to October 4th
What is National Night Out?
Pride: Joining in the celebration shows our pride in the officers who care for our community and its members!
Integrity: Coming together as a community and with our law enforcement shows our strong moral values we place in the safety of our community and its members!
Choices: There will be tons of choices in the activities you can participate in when joining in on all of the fun! Not to mention food choices too...and who doesn't like food choice?
Small Town: Although National Night Out occurs all over this wonderful nation, their is not a better way to celebrate than being in a small town where everyone is connected and rooted together!
The first National Night Out was held in 1984 and involved 400 communities in 23 states. This event stemmed from the work of a Pennsylvania officer named Matt who helped develop community watch programs and uniting neighborhood members in assisting in the fight against crimes by being observant and getting to know the one another. National Night Out promotes bringing community members and their law enforcement agents together to join forces in making their cities and towns safe and connected with each other.
Join in Alkek families by heading out on October 1st to Warriors Heart and enjoy spending time with your families, friends, and officers. Who knows, you could find new families of the community to connect with and grow our ever increasing network of support for our children and students!
