Updated Screening Procedures

As a response to the everchanging Covid Playbook, we will not be screening students at the door as they enter. Parents will be asked to screen students prior to arrival at school. In summary, parents will check to see how their child is feeling prior to sending them to school. If there are any symptoms, you will not send them. If students display any symptoms while at school or at home, the same procedure of staying home 10 days, getting a medical clearance or a Covid test still remain in place. It is important to call the school when your child is absent!

Hello Chester Families,

Great things are going on at CES! The Read-A-Thon is in full swing. Our goal is to get books in student's hands and create a love of reading and to fundraise for our PTA. Both goals are a win-win! Our hallways look great with the Black History Murals, Kindness Chalk Wall, and all the student work. Our environment sets the stage for our learners. It is powerful for the students to take in other student's work, opening their eyes to the diversity of talent in each other. There are many great pictures at the end of the newsletter.

Another district wide assembly is coming your way! On Friday, March 5, all student in grades K-6 are invited to the NED Assembly. (Check out the video link.) The students will all receive a NED yo-yo which will come home prior to the assembly.

Our Mountain Kids are doing such a great job everyday, smiles and the buzz of learning all around!

Be Good to Each Other,

Colly Fischer
