Updates/Reminders:
- Please remember to log in through PowerSchool and NOT mClass.
- Please try to log in before Monday to ensure you can access your class. If you cannot access your class, email Mandy.
- We are not completely out of the woods with PowerSchool/Amplify issues. Therefore, if you can access your class and are planning to start assessing tomorrow, Amplify stated that teachers MUST sync before starting, during testing, and after testing each student. If any students are removed or moved due to a system error, the data would have been saved to Amplify's mainframe. If you fail to do this and there is a system error, your work will be lost and you'll have to start over.
- Remember to NOT INVALIDATE!! See Mandy or Brittany if there is an issue.
- 4th and 5th grade teachers, we are only testing 25% of the students in each grade level. You are not testing everyone. A group will be made in mClass with those students. An email with a list of those students will be sent out.
Read/Understand NCE Handbook: All staff should have already completed this google form to indicate that they have read the NCE Staff Handbook. Please read and complete this google form by the end of the day Tuesday. We will provide time at the end of the teacher meeting/classified staff meeting to ensure this important step is complete for the 18/19 year. Please see Carla or Eddie if you have questions.
Public School Works: Please work to meet these deadlines. This is a requirement for all staff. All new staff members, please continue to check and see if you are able to begin. This is a district requirement for all staff members. The website, dates, and classes are also listed under the staff page of our website.
Bulletin Boards: As we begin the third week, please begin to get (if you haven't already) student work up on bulletin boards. We will make sure boards are claimed by someone this week.
Field Trip Projection forms that were given out at our opening K-5 meeting are due to Carla by Sept 24th. Let Carla know if you need more time.
Ask your School Improvement representative about our meeting!

Think of the following when doing your self-assessment (a bicycle analogy):
Developing: You get on the bike, know that you need to move the pedals to make the bike go, but you fall almost every time you try.
Proficient: You can get on the bike and ride it a short distance though it may be wobbly or you ride a further distance but you don’t ride often.
Accomplished: You ride your bike to work without thinking about the gears, pedals, etc. at all and you ride the bike every day the weather permits.
Distinguished: You ride your bike to work every day the weather permits, without thinking about the bike and you give riding lessons to others.
