November 2, 2022 - NEWSLETTER
Hello Centerview Families,
This fall continues with spectacular weather into the month of November. I hope you’ve been enjoying it as I am. It’s so nice for our students to head outside for recess with hoodies or light jackets and enjoy their typical activities on the playground.
We’ve got three important weeks of learning coming our way prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. We’ll capture each day and maximize our time together. Thank you for continuing to support your student getting to school each day on time.
Many of you conferenced with teachers over the past few weeks. Know that the lines of communication remain open and we encourage continued dialogue.
Book Fair coming soon!
Centerview's Book fair will be held November 7-11. You can access the book fair website or scan the QR code.
Parents/guardians - we strongly encourage you to set up the e-wallet for a safe, cashless way to purchase books during the fair!
Panther Football advances to section finals
The Panther Football team is moving on to the section finals this Friday after defeating the Irondale Knights 28-7 in the section semi-finals on October 29.
The Panthers (#1 seed) will play the Rogers Royals (#3 seed) in the Section 6AAAAA Championship game on Friday, November 4 at 7 p.m. at Panther Stadium.
Show your Panther Pride and join us at Panther Stadium to cheer the team on. Go, Panthers!
School and so much more
In a few short weeks, homemade drones assembled by students will fill the air outside Westwood Intermediate and Middle School. They are coming together thanks to the after-school Code & Fly Camp. This month, the high school gym will come alive with the sounds of indoor Pickleball.
These new programs are available through Spring Lake Park Schools Community Education. Each program is designed to help participants learn new skills, connect with others who share similar interests and — maybe most importantly – have fun. At SLP, we’re school and so much more.
Now is a great time for your child, your family or yourself to get involved. There are also opportunities for community members to teach a class.
Programs for the whole family are running now with a new wave of youth programs starting up next week. Browse and register today.
Panthers for a Purpose Week of Giving and Party Save the Date!
Mark your calendars for February 19-25, 2023 for the Panthers for a Purpose Week of Giving celebration. To top off the week, the biggest Panther Party celebration will be held on February 25, 2023 at Bunker Hills Event Center in Coon Rapids. Want to help Spring Lake Park Schools?
