LPS KINDNESS CLUB
Loveland Primary School is committed to creating a culture of kindness and compassion with our Tiger cubs. LPS will be starting Kindness Club this year to support our students and spread kindness. This club will be made up of responsible students, as well as staff members, who are willing to demonstrate acts of kindness.
As a part of this the Kindness Club will serve as ambassadors to help our friends at LES with selected compassion projects throughout the year. Since socks are the MOST requested item at homeless shelters, we will be collecting new socks (any size) to donate to shelters during the month of October. If you would like to help contribute with "Socktober," please send socks in to your child's classroom.
If you have any questions about Kindness Club or Socktober, you may contact Darcie Chandler at chandlda@lovelandschools.org.

MARKER RECYCLING PROGRAM
Mrs. Schlesselman's class will be collecting used markers that are ready to be discarded. The markers will be sent to a facility where they will be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Please help support our efforts by sending your used markers you may have around the house – even non-Crayola brands. The drop-off box will be located in the hallway outside of room 21 for your child's teacher to deposit the markers. With your help the Crayola ColorCycle program can keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year. Remember, don’t throw out that used marker—ColorCycle it! Learn more at http://www.crayola.com/colorcycle. So far we have recycled 3,750 markers since last spring!
