Message from the Health Office

We hope that you enjoyed your summer and we are excited to welcome you all back to BLOCKS. We wanted to touch upon an important topic as we venture back to school. Over the past 6 months wearing masks has become a part of our daily routine. As we all know, all students and staff will be required to wear masks at school. Some important points regarding students and masks are below:

*Masks help prevent the spread of viruses like the COVID-19 virus.

*Please make sure to send in 1-2 masks daily with your child to school. It would also be helpful to label the masks with your child's initials or name.

*Make sure that the mask fits your child well and covers his or her nose, mouth and chin.

*Try to wash reusable masks after each use.

*Staff will be working with children on getting used to wearing masks and mask breaks will be provided.

*Gaiters, bandanas, and masks with valves are not recommended and do not provide adequate protection.

For further information regarding mask wearing please check out the following link from Boston Children's Hospital:

We are looking forward to working together with you all to have a safe and healthy school year!
